PFC Larry Harding Vietnam Veteran Memorial Fishing Trip

This opportunity is available exclusively to current active military members and veterans who are Iowa residents.

Healing at English River Outfitters (HERO) is honored to host the PFC Larry Harding Vietnam Veteran Memorial Fishing Trip at Lake Rathbun May 22, 2026 through May 24, 2026.

This special day is dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of Vietnam Veterans while providing a meaningful opportunity for connection, camaraderie, and time on the water. Veterans selected for this trip will enjoy a guided fishing experience, fellowship with fellow veterans, and a day focused on relaxation and community.

The trip includes: Lodging, Meals and Fishing boat. No prior fishing experience is required, if fishing gear is needed plus let the fishing coordinator know upon selection.

Four (4) veterans will be selected by drawing on May 9, 2026.
To ensure we are able to serve as many individuals as possible, priority will be given to veterans who have not previously attended a HERO fishing trip. Our goal is to extend this opportunity to new participants while continuing to honor all who have served.

Selected participants will be contacted with additional details regarding schedule, location logistics, and what to bring.
